The mainland lender will dispatch a group of executives to the island at the end of October, studying the local market conditions and financial regulations, said Yan without disclosing the timetable on the plan.
Bank of Beijing's net profit climbed 0.75% year on year to RMB 2.92 billion in the first half of this year. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.47. The lender's gross profit in the first six months was RMB 3.73 billion, up 1.04% from a year earlier, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
Shares of Bank of Beijing fell 1.26% to close at RMB 18.02 on Tuesday.
