Dec. 30, 2008 (China Knowledge) - Nine Dragons Paper Holdings Ltd<2689>, the leading paper board producer in mainland, denies the bankruptcy rumor and ensures its investors that it is in sound financial situation, sources reported.

Yang Yueshuang, the Dongguan-based company's PR Manager, told sources that the company is operating normally and the rumor is ungrounded.

The company has reportedly offered to buy back US$16.5 million worth of bonds, and pre-paid part of its loans worth around US$193 million in total.

Shares of Nine Dragons have fallen over 90% through this year to HK$2.07 as of 3:20 pm on Tuesday.
